The Mood Disorders Association of Ontario offers free peer support and recovery programs to people living with depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder. We also offer support for family members.

Toronto Shyness and Social Anxiety Support Group

A support group for those who experience anxiety or discomfort around other people, whether in large gatherings, small groups, or one-on-one. 

Every Sunday 3:00-4:30 pm, 519 Church Street, Room 201.  There are no meetings in August 2018.  Meetings resume Sunday September 2nd.

Toronto Drop-in: Drop-in One-on-one Peer Support

About the Service
 
In support of the One on One Peer Support program, we would like to introduce a new drop-in peer support program open to participants to be able to access one on one peer support sessions on a ‘drop in’ basis.
 
This program is being created as a means of contributing towards MDAO’s vision of helping individuals and families affected by mood disorders recover and heal.

Peterborough Peer Support Group: Peterborough Mood Disorder Support Group

We offer support and our knowledge and experience to people who have a Mood Disorder. We get together to discuss various topics that might help our recovery. We invite speakers, have potluck suppers and other activities. We are “NOT” experts but we do have experience with Mood Disorders. We offer a safe place to talk and get advice, opinions and we are totally confidential!

Toronto Drop-In: Men's Peer Support Group

This is a group for men living with depression, anxiety or bipolar disorder.

This group runs every Monday evening from 7:00 to 8:50 pm.

Please use the access entrance, to enter the building after 4pm. Pressing the button will unlock the door.

Hamilton Peer Support Group: Mood Menders Support Services - First Pilgrim United Church Meeting

Meetings are held for both individuals with a mood disorder and their supporters are held on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Tuesday of the month. Sharing, coping skills, providing support and networking with others facing similar challenges.  See the attached brochure for more details.

Toronto Registered Drop-in Group: The Family Matters Open Family Forum

The Open Family Forum provides an opportunity for those who are supporting someone with a mental health issue to access and share information, give and receive peer support and find out more about our Family Matters Peer Support and Recovery Program and other resources in Toronto.

The Family Matters Open Family Forum will be held twice a month on the second and fourth Tuesday at 36 Eglinton Avenue West Suite 602 from 7-9pm.

Orillia Peer Support Group: Orillia DAMD Self-Help Group

A self-help group offering group support to share ideas, information and experiences. Group support for family and friends, support to help alleviate the feeling of being alone, resources and information regarding treatment options both traditional and alternative and ongoing emotional support.  The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
